A weird requirement I've run into when rooting my old Samsung Droid Charge is that header usb ports wouldn't recognize the phone properly. I had to plug directly into a motherboard port.

Unfortunately I don't know what the standard for CNC machining might be as I'm in the architectural field, but if I had to guess I'd say Inventor or Solidworks would be pretty common across the board...

Thanks for the warning about the swiftech kit beaver. That's one of the reasons why I wanted a tube res/pump combo. Keeps the water above the pumps at all times. Go custom man, be awesomer!
