Huh? For almost ALL games in existence, a "higher-clocked" i5 (meaning, at least 3.2GHz) is good enough to play them at 60FPS. AMD has products that can compete with i5, albeit, with a heavy power...

Wasn't ReRAM basically supposed to accomplish the same thing? What ever happened to that?

I'm a little skeptical of how this is supposed to be used. For example, let's say you open a...

I agree entirely, though, I don't think Intel's next gen chips will be a direct response to anything AMD makes. At this point intel is just chugging along as though AMD doesn't exist - even if AMD...

I agree that there isn't much competition against intel, but AMD is very competitive against nvidia. Power consumption might not be perfect but they otherwise perform pretty close. Nvidia does have...

Ouya had the potential to be good but the developers put no effort into making it a good product. They just simply made something that worked and called it a day. I never understood why so many...

I'm blinded? You're the one putting your foot down saying that people should only buy the best. I understand the NEED for the best, but not the entire world needs the best. I'm looking in the eyes...

No, I'm not. I don't hate intel and I'm not exactly pleased with AMD's performance, so I'm not favoring them. I just think you're treating your own priorities like they're everyone's, which they...

Y'know why? Because Intel fought dirty and won. If AMD and Intel were boxers, Intel hit below the belt and wasn't disqualified. That score kept them in the lead, and when people are reminded of...

You're missing the point.... first of all, not everyone can afford an intel CPU, or a discrete GPU. Second, there's the concept of "good enough". For the average user, AMD's products are more than...

I've though the same thing many times myself. I think AMD's CPUs would have turned out better but I'm sure ATI would've followed the same path as nvidia and try to develop their own CPUs. That...

If this were AMD we were talking about, or maybe a company like TSMC, then I think you'd be onto something. But intel has more money than they know what to do with. They actually are hiring more...

There's beginning to be less of a reason for PCs. Seems to be a lot of people are satisfied with gaming consoles, while tablets, phones, and smart TVs are taking care of the vast majority of most...

When not under full load, AMD systems don't use that much more power. For the average home user, it's negligible. For the average corporation, it might not really matter that much depending how...

Not necessarily. The average office PC doesn't need an intel CPU. They don't need AMD's graphics capabilities either, but the difference is for office PCs, AMD is still a cheaper option for roughly...

Agreed, but, the enthusiasts don't help either. Simply because AMD doesn't have a product that competes with i7, enthusiasts don't consider (or recommend) them for anything below high performance.

So... you're basing this off of gaming results against a more expensive GPU? The Fury X might not be as compelling as we had hoped, but it's solid proof that the HBM idea works.

Wow so 3.6W per core? That is actually very nice. Not to mention, these platforms are also physically small and relatively cheap. These 3 things can be a huge gain over Intel, IBM, and Oracle.

Actually it's dual 1920x1200. But anyway, it hasn't always been that way. The DK2 is a single 1920x1080 screen at 60Hz, and it didn't appear the developers had any immediate plans on improving that...
