AMD has dibs on HBM2 for the first 6 month, so I wouldn't count on Pascal coming with HBM2 memory initially.

A move to smaller than 28nm is long overdue for GPUs and it should improve things....

I see. I'm using my previous i5-3450 and the iGPU with Ubuntu now and it works like a charm. Not passive tho, but still very quiet, as I don't put any load on it really, besides watching movies.
