Had a thought. Star Citizen is using CryEngine afaik, and Crytek is (by some accounts) in a bit of a death-spiral.

So if Crytek goes, presumably RSI lose the support Crytek are providing them (and...

Never in the history of gaming have so many man hours been devoted to analysis of the delightfully decisive (sounding) "go/no go" decisions.

So we should be impressed that the cumulative result of three incremental improvements of ~10pc is ~30pc? Chip design is hard, but Intel offers no compelling reason to upgrade my 2500K - and I don't...

Oh dear. Militarisation of the police isn't something to be celebrated. On the other hand you could spin it as that old Peelerism "the police are the public and the pubbers are the police"...

Going smaller and quieter

Evening all.

As London living space is at a premium, I require a smaller and quieter computer. It is, when I have time, used for gaming so I can't afford a performance drop.

The trouble I have with space games is similar to when you first drive a car - you're not entirely sure where the sides are, or where the rear bumper is. It seems very easy to get disoriented....

Lower wattage PSU could easily save you cash, with a 100W CPU and 200-300W GFX card you'd probably be fine with a 500W model.
