Well, I think the point of the mod was to have some super-easy way to do the mod. Different shapes would require dremel work, and making something the exact same shape out of something semi-transparent like it has.

I'd never do anything than just changing the color, too afraid I'd break the pretty laptops.

I suppose the thing is that by putting your own design in place is that too much light may leak out and kinda ruin the screen?
