only ever purchesd from them once,a geforce 2 mx and that was when the Geforce2MX was considered a high end card all those years ago.

got the card ultra cheap with them compared with other places, however this was the time they were startin to do away with selling componets.

but appart from that im glad to see these shops go, if only pc world would as well i would be happy. dont like gettin talked down to in shops when i know alot more then the person talking to me and espcaily dont like it when i over hear the sales people telling some old lady that she needs a 3.0ghz comp with a gig of ram to recive e-mails from her grand kids.

Tiny went bust in 2002 but the brand was bought by Time (big mistake). Now, the parent company of Time - granville technology - have gone bust.

Time/Tiny have finally gone. Unless Dixons buy them (hope not)

Dixons is in the same group as PCWorld, so is currys. So Tiny/Time if brought by Dixons will probably merely become anoter PCWorld, not what we want!

However, we seriously need a high street chain store that will rival PCWorld, I rather go into a shop and buy componants than buy them off the net tbh. So setting up Time/Tiny to rival PCWorld would be good.

I went down to the local computer world shop (owned by time) today and they had a sign up closed for stock take. I thought what a bunch of lying toads and then I found http://news.zdnet.co.uk/business/0,3...9210276,00.htm and my thoughts were correct.

I have a friend that currently works / worked at Time's "customer services" operation. Last week he said that he and his work colleagues were trying to keep their jobs before the redundancy as the managers were finding ways to dismiss them, pre tits up time so that the company wouldn't have to pay up redundancy pay!

To the poster who asked if they were selling stuff cheap - Time has had a knock down priced outlet called Emit (Time backwards!) for some time.
