Cisco better get a patch sorted, pronto.
Surely that's the solution to this. Seriously, there's no way Cisco could ever have realistically expected to contain the leak after Michael Lynn went public with it. Pandora's Box springs to mind!

However, if I were on Cisco's legal team I'm sure I'd be working night and day to sue the ass off the guy for breaking his NDA (I'm sure it would have been in his contract not to reveal these sorts of details even after he left) and to make sure his pay gets garnished from now till retirement. Might be enough of a warning stop some other wiseguy from going the same way.

I really don't think it's appropriate to post links on here, but I'm quite sure that Google + a few choice keywords will soon put you on the right track!

Hehe...yeah, the picture's funny.

Oh, and I think I called it in the last news response...someone asked breakers or fixers, and I took breakers.

I wonder if this guy really MEANT to release this stuff? Accidents do happen...

Well it looks like the only way they can stop the word spreading now is to shut down all their routers. Oh wait that's exactly what the hackers will be trying to do too. How ironic.

If Cisco knew about the problems and did nothing to fix them (maybe it wasn't 'cost effective') then its their own fault imo.

There have always been lower class crackers called script kiddies.

These people take utils made by other people (like nuke utils in the days of windows 95) and smurf attacks. Gawd those were pathetic.
