Redundantly, this sentence is redundantly redundant, in a redundant way.

But seriously, whose panels are they using? I heard a roumour they're made by Philips... is this true?

It's great to see a company taking this kind of line - they're really after the "consumer champions" title aren't they.

The constant battle to return a dead pixelled monitor from brand new is somethign that I live in fear of every time I buy one for friends or family. Getting Sharp to replace one from a Mesh PC took days! In the end I had to start waiving the distance seller regs in their face.

But hats off to Asus!

Bring on the 20" Widscreens! That's where it's at atm, and with such a promising looking 17", Asus have got nothing to lose attending to an expanding market.

i love that no dead pixel warranty...i bought a generic lcd and it had one dead pixel in the top middle of the screen, and its not horrible, but its a pain, and they wouldnt replace it - only if there were like 5-6 dead ones

If their LCD screen quality is anything close to the quality of their motherboards, this will become a very popular brand of LCD.

Very nice. All they need to make is HDD's and Processors and you could have an entire ASUS set-up. That would be Freakin' Sweet (but pricey...)

The dead pixel policy may just ensure them my business for my next tft. My current tft(Hyundai L72D) has had no dead pixels but when I bought it I paid £15 for it. It came to about £200 so this monitor which also has a faster response rate as well would come out better value.

I thought samsung also has a zero dead pixel policy. But i think this a good move foward for asus and with thier policy on dead pixels I hope more companys implement zero dead pixel policies.
