And of course, OSX already had parental game control as well. You can't play any. Except perhaps Solitaire, which is definately EC+ (and if you're not yet in your early childhood, it's probably a bit early to be honing your mousing skills)

How can you not want a hardware accellerated desktop??

That's a nice idea, for business at least. No way Im leaving my personal stuff on some remote server where god-knows-who could look at it. I enjoy my civil liberties and privacy. That's not MS fault though.

The picture manipulation and organisation is good, for users who rely on not buying their own software. Most people, like myself, havent used Mac's or Tiger before, so to us, it WILL be revolutionary. Who the hell EVER uses a ratings system though?

It doesnt matter if MS claim it's revoultionary and it isnt. To MS and MS software, it is and because they own the market that's all that matters.

Still too bad how I find Mac OS X so awkward. Must be my 10+ years of Windows conditioning.

Just wait til someone hacks it up and puts it on the net, then we'll all have it. Or, releases Aero for XP.

I can see one use for a picture ratings system... PRON!

Microsoft are wanting all their teen users to rate their pron too, in a similar style to the ratemyx.com series (ratemythong.com etc.). Maybe you'll be able to compare your ratings online via vista's features, to everyone else's ratings?

I agree to a certain extent - unplug your 'net and try XP offline. It even feels 'dead' and 'lifeless'.

Thats a very old piece of info

He's doing it so that his kids won't just live of his legacy, so that they'll be forced, if they want to live uber-rich lives, to work for it, which will be quite easy, they could probably make hundreds of thousands just by giving speaches written by IT consultants, people would pay for the name.

Even if they did nothing their whole lives though, they could probably make between 4 and 8 hundred thousand USD a year just in intrest, if not more, thats plenty enough for anyone to live on.

I'd be happy with $10million!

Although, imagine the inheritence tax on $30bil, the government would have a field day!!!!

p.s. which billion are we talking here, the proper 10^12 or retarded 10^9? (just wondering if Bill is a proper billionaire or a fake!!)

Trouble with vista, everything will be so "embedded" that your whole pc will slow down, and I bet they have slightly changed the registry etc, so that people can't tweak it until someone hacks it around.
