Can't wait too, hopefully it's a decent length. It won't be a tenner, it'll be something like £19.99 in the UK probably, we're never gonna get games at the same price as the US!

Does that release date in the article apply to Europe too?

Steam is a global distribution hub. I payed $9.99 for DoD: Source (via HL2 package upgrade) and I would imagine that you'll pay $19.99 for Aftermath via Steam.

Damn, I forgot about that, I'm just used to buying games off the shelf!

Sounds great, I hope it's got some more creepy Ravenholm-i-ness

The realese date should hopefully be more accurate then when HL2 was first announced!

Sentence-by-sentence:

The game will cost a thoroughly reasonable $19.99, through Valve's Steam game delivery service. This equates to just over a tenner in real money. Could this be the best-value expansion pack of all time? The game will also hit retail through Valve's new publishing partner, EA. Expect it to hit English physical shelves on the following Friday.

Yay. Real money... what's being implied here? Perhaps, as long as it's a bit longer than Lost Coast (yes, I know it was intended as a 15-min tech demo). EA.. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!? <ten minutes of random !?ing> ?!??! Lay off the crackpipe, boys. Who needs physical shelves when you can tie it to your account and never need to find the disc EVER?

That, and some of us don't have credit cards, only Debit cards which steam won't take.

OT: MrWillyWonka, your new av ROCKS.

Back on topic...
Pretty good? Or pretty short? Or both? We shall see. I'll wait a week, when everyone starts clamoring that it was really good, I'll go grab it

Tiny niggle here, choose to ignore it if you will, but it'll hit the shelves in Britain, or the UK, not just England. I know theres only a few million of us Scots and Welsh folk, but its annoying to constantly have the UK referred to as England.

Oh well, the scots are irrelevent anyway*

/me hides

*That was just a joke...

Tbh I prefer buying the game with the case and disc, looks nice on my shelf, and saves having to redownload the game if something happens.

if i pay for something i like to actually get something i can 'own'
what happens if i dont have the internet? = no access to the game. what happens if crappy limits get put on the broadband over here for real? = cant get at MY product. its stupid and alot less convenient imho.
there are probably a load more reasons i can give but its late and i cant be bothered right now.
theres also the fact like willywonka said, its good to have the case on the shelf next to the other games ive bought
