One square mile map? They better have enough vehicles to get around, it's annoying enough when you don't have a vehicle on BF2 and the action is on the other side of the map!

Can't wait tbh.

This game looks set to take over from Battlefield 2 as my most played game. It sounds as if it will add more depth than what Battlefield offered regarding missions, and it looks like the opposing teams will actually be quite different.

Can't wait!

i cannot bloody wait for this, ET was an absolutely fantastic MP game and if splash damage manage to translate ET gameplay into the quake world its just going to be epic

edit: what i really hope is that it is an objective based mp like rtcw and rtcw:et were and not a glorified ctf like bf2 etc
edit2: reading the eurogamer preview

oh and wonka
"As the GDF advances, so will the action and their spawn points." bit like in rtcw, as you complete an objective your spawn point moves closer to the next objective so you dont have to run across the whole map again

Ah that's cool, I only got to read the first article and half of the second!

It's good to see that maps are actually getting bigger and better, rather than gameplay and graphics, gives more flying time too!

I only got a machine capable of playing games with 3D graphics a year ago (sad I know) and ET was one of the first games I played on it, was the game that got me used to a mouse/keyboard combo for FPSes. Bloody good game that was and from what I've seen this looks fantastic too

I read on the gamespot.com forums that the system requirements would be the same as Doom 3, i hope this is the case so i can run it on medium-ish settings,
here is the link anyway http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/en...833&pid=928340

I still play ET these days, and what I love about this game that is objective oriented.
I don't like frag based games.

So I just hope that ET remains as an obj game.

Yer i too still play ET, one of the few objective based fps games about and free!

I literally cannot wait for this, a quake engine + vehicular warfare + objectives, what more could you want now really? I just hope splashdamage can pull it off.
