Its a pity they didnt put a vfd in the amd based system, as surely that will be cheaper to build, and could see its way into a few homes as htpc's, if it had a vfd.

Now this looks like a good direction for Shuttle to take. A fanless power supply and compaq for factor looks great. Of course limited upgradability although MXM module so graphics may have some room for improvment. I'm sure it'll cost an arm and a leg though.

It's a Nintendo with a different paintjob!

I too would like to see the VFD integrated into the AMD system, but having said that, the processor doesn't mean a whole lot if all you're doing is playing DVDs and MP3s. For a full-fledged dual-tuner HTPC-type system you're talking something else, but I for one can hardly find one TV show I like, let alone two in the same timeslot that are worth recording.
