NOOOO! Not the gold cartridge! Serriously, why did they use the cart from a GOOD game? Why not form something a little more generic?

Anyway, its kinda neat... i think the HD in an Altoid's case was cooler though.

What a waste, that cart is probably worth more than a 40gb hard drive on ebay - lol

It's not really that impressive in that form at all. Now what would be impressive would to be to mod a removable HDD connector to it and the other part inside a NES and then build a computer in the NES. Stock looking NES with a removable cartdrive.

Olny issue with the cartdrive is most NESPC use the cartridge slot for the CD-rom drive. But could be move with some effort there is not alot od space inside the unit for a computer

Tulatin will become famous soon enough
Indeed, not to mention the old carts had to have near 40 pins! So what's one to do? solder an IDE converter to the pins, so you can change HDDs on your NES!

60 pins for Japanese Famicon and 72 for the american version. Maybe a laptop cd drive crammed with part of a NES cart glued on?

I think the most hardcore thing to do would be to use the 12 extra pins for USB power, and detecting its that kind of cart so a user can use a hard drive cart or a game cart.

I got the pin numbers from http://www.benheck.com/Games/Nintend...NES_Micro1.htm
