That trailer definitely makes the game look nothing short of brilliant.

Any word on if it will actually be avaliable on a DVD? I like to have a hard copy of all my gaming purchases. There is just somthing about having a box with fancy art on it that adds to the experience of buying a new release i think.

Episode One will be available June 1st in retail outlets everywhere and via Steam.

It looks like June 1st for hard copies. Although I'll be getting mine via Steam as everyone knows going outside is bad for you.

Looking at the graphics of that game now, they're pretty short of amazing me. Maybe I've been watching too many upcoming PS3 game trailers.

The trailer says that the game will be available via steam from May 1st. Is this still true? Why would anybody wait a whole month in order to get it on CD/DVD?

I think that May 1st is the preload, then it gets unlocked in June...

Methinks somehow by the time the PS3 is out in (lets face it) a years time, you'd be able to buy a PC that absolutely smokes anything HL2 for about the same price or less.

Not entirely sure what I'm trying to say actually, other than I'm perhaps not seeing the point in comparing anything reasonably current in PC games to advertising trailers etc for a console that won't be out for a long time and by the sounds of it will break records for costly as consoles go even then (Not to mention, PC's are the epitome of universal computing and the PS3 as a sony product .. isn't

)

I wouldnt be suprised if they added a few tweaks of source when they release it, they added HDR after it was released so its not like its beyond them to do so. And anyway, PS3 is coming out when?

Ill just keep waiting for it I guess, hopefully june 1st means june 1st.
