Of course I'm still waitin' for DNF! Who ever really was into FPS has to love DN3D imho.
One of the craziest games ever. One of the best FPS ever.
I'd go out and buy DNF without reading one review every day. Even in 2010 or as PC Action, a german gaming magazine, is expecting Dec 2666.

Hail to the King, baby!

//edit: Sure it will be out dated when released but actually I don't care. No character in a game was more fun than the Duke. And a game doesn't have to have top of the notch graphics to be fun. Look at those old DOS games... the graphics sucked when they were released and they look even worse today but they're still a damn lot of fun.

MiNiMaL_FuSS will become famous soon enough
By the time it comes out it wont be worth it having come out.

lets face it, its taken so long not because its great but because they keep changing the engine to try to stay up to date...when its released it will probably be out dated anyway.

Yup, like the article said the original engine was the quake 2 engine then changed to unreal. Both of those are years old!!! If they do use the doom 3 engine then at last that will be some justification in chraging £35+ when it comes out.

Of course it will! It'll be the greatest FPS ever! It's so past the point of ridicule it has a nice oily shell which makes insults just slide off of it. People insult the insulters because DNF is such a cult it goes without saying it took forever to get here. Even if it's technically crap, it will be great.

Did anyone read the part that says that the developers MIGHT have created their own engine. Which is a very good solution since that way they could release it in 5 years and then they could put in all the cool stuff like DX11 and stuff while their developing the game. That way the game will be released like HL2 was.

Such an unfortunate acronym, eh? DNF... I believe the motorsport definition of these three letters is more than apt.

Did. Not. Finish.

I don't care if it is outdated when (if) it comes out. I still play far-cry over and over again everytime I get a new graphics cards (just an excuse to play it again with bigger resolution). Games are more than just fancy graphics.

Only thing I'm sorry about will be the demise of the 'Forever' jokes.
Other than that I'm pretty pumped for the game. I rather fancied it would be on the unreal 3.0 engine though...

Personally I bonded with good old J.C.Denton better than any other game character.

Cept maybe Christoph in the oiginal Vampires: The masquerade.....why did its sequel have to be nothing at all like the original....was sorely disapointed.

Well IF it comes out I WILL buy it... But I think we should get it with a depreciated value from 1999.

DNF is turning into the samething as TFC2...both are only a Myth, to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside....

Prey has been in development almost as long and thats looking pretty solid for release before too long, I haven't a clue when DNF will come out, but I am looking forward to the return of the king, Baby!. in 2010, naturally hehe.
