They should keep to what they do best, and leave the credit card market to people you would actualy trust with your cash, such as your bank.....

This sucks. I like the paypal mobile idea though - just for the notion that you can pay anyone, anywhere. Like they said on diggnation though, it's gonna make gambling soooo tempting; just too easy to pay people if you lose!

Personally I wouldn't bother with a paypal credit card, but I would like to see a paypal debit card, where the money comes from your paypal account.

Yeah rather than spend the last £5 in my account on some cheap crap on ebay i could buy a small round or use it to buy something i really need.

They get to trade on their brand name in entering the credit card business. If they could tie it to normal paypal accounts then they would have a winner.

Its a pretty astute business move by them. By releasing a credit card and then if they plan to sell on ('securitisation') the debt to another party they can quickly raise a lot of capital.

Does this mean we will see PayPal Loans?, Home & Car Insurance? - we will see
