No way should he extradited. If he has genuine links to these terrorists, that should be proved, then hand him over.

I'm sure he does, but we still deal with crime within a legal framework. Guantanamo Bay is an illegal detention center. Handing him over to them would be no different than handing him over to a dictatorship to be executed without trial.

if the US government does not provide conclusive and concrete evidence of terorist activities then he should not face extradiction, 4 years is a fair sentence. And i'd like to see how they came accross that huge figure, i mean seems like an awfull lot of money, and what do they mean by inoperable, what happened for that system to be inoperable. Not really getting the full story here are we.

I think the goverment is just playing this up, so it focusses everyones attention away from the fact that the goverment is easyer to hack into then they thought. I think 4 yeas if fair.

I always thought that crimes were punished under the legal system they were perpetrated in, he was in the UK when he was hacking so surely a UK court should hear his crimes

I think he deserves being handed over to the US just for not getting alien craft pictures because they "were too large to download." NO EXCUSE! He could have had evidence proving the biggest cover-up in history (if the pictures did actually exist and were real and legitimate.)

The terrorist in this story is the USA, the guy must be trialed in the country were the crime was comited,
but... mr. Tony B. has George B. hand up his ass so deep that if mr Bush moves his middle finger up and down, mr Tony B. will say yes. The USA dominates over all countries in the world, period. if not how do they have a prison in Guantanamo, in CUBA, a comunist country? and how do they torture prisioners without the UN screaming FOUL!!!? 4 years in the UK, but that will not happen.

I think maybe his defense might be thowing up Guantanamo to confuse the situation. However I can't see why he couldn't be extridited to the US under the standard legal process if he's broken the law.

It's quite cool that he managed to get into their systems...bummer for him that he got caught though. Seventy years in guantanamo is ridiculous and to be honest four years in the UK seems a little excessive. Just take his computer off him and watch him suffer.

Sadly I agree with the Tony "puppet" Blair comment. The truth is the US security services and the government looked pretty bad after 9/11 especially in light of the investigations into the failings to predict the events. This is another way for them to divert attention from themselves and pass it onto some other poor soul.
If we cant send murderers and hijackers to their middle eastern country of origin (remember that hijacked plane at stanstead a few years back where the hijackers were given assylum?) then I don't see why we should send this guy to America. |
