Makes you wonder why no-one has thought of doing this before. Hopefully it will be kept up-to-date so that in the future we can look back at the classics...

Why the eyebrow? I think it's a good idea. I have a book on the history of the computer and that gave me an insight on the progression of the computer. I think this will do the same for gaming.

quite a good idea. Now that gaming is now a major part of eveyone's lives and everyone's living room, doing something like this will help us understand how far we have come in realising that TV's are not meant for movies, shows, news soaps and all the other BS we are forced to watch everyday.

It's worth mentioning that this site is more than just "very similar to Wikipedia", it runs off the Wiki technology. It's a wiki on gaming...that's it. While it's a great idea, it's not really technologically advanced or anything of that matter. It's really just an elaboration on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_games
EDIT: Also, they could have at least given it a running start. It doesn't even have entries for Super Mario Bros 3 ![]() ...or a basic entry for "first-person shooter" Last edited by Adnuo; 18th May 2006 at 16:23. |

I think that the idea is to trace the progression and evolution of videogames as a craft, rather than just compiling a flat database of information.
It'd help if a lot of the contributors didn't seem to be under 20 and with almost no knowledge of videogaming prior to 1995... And as with any Wiki, if you see something missing: Add it! Nezuji

Good idea, but needs a lot of work done to it.
And who the hell put Richard Burns Rally in the list? How is that an innovative game? |
