Woohoo great news! I was wondering how I could watch at work and I was hoping the Beeb were going to do something like this! Yay!

Not very high, but if you can't get to a TV... then I doubt you'd be complaining much, unless it keeps cutting out and requires buffering every 5 seconds.

Check out the BBC's streaming news bulletins and you will see...

In other words total crap, with buffering every 15 secs or so depending on how busy it is.

During an England afternoon match i would imagine it would be almost unwatchable.

Don't knock it yet. Let's see if they can pull it off. It's certainly a good idea and even if it doesn't work very well yet, kudos to them for trying.

Aww, it'll probably be rubbish, but its great the BBC attempt stuff like this.

They truly are the best media corp in the world by a great margin.

I have to definatly agree with that, no adverts on their site and great news coverage. I hope the BBC live up to their expectations. However since I'll be home during most of the world cup I'll be viewing on my TV and considering a lot of employees will be allowed to watch the match on TV whilst at work I don't think the BBC site will be as hammered as people think.

If you want really big screen TV, pop over to ODEON, some of the cinemas are showing the world cup on their screens.

Wimbledon Odeon is indeed showing the World Cup games, and you can bring Alcohol in!

Can you imagine watching it on a computer screen, then hearing cheering coming from all the houses in the street, then 5 seconds later you finally get it on your screen
