i like it, personally i would rather watch adverts then pay for stuff, i dont make alot of money, and having to buy music would take up far too much of that money, i like the idea, although the drm type stuff is a bit annoying, i guess there will be a way to get around it in time

It's a step forward, good for them. If they keep making these baby steps forward maybe eventualy they'll actually get a business model that works. Untill then, Allofmp3 is showing the world the way consumers want it. We want it cheap, we want it unrestricted, we want it in any flavour we choose, and we want it now. So long as those things are happening a company will do nicely.

very very nice. i hope it works nicely and in the future the files will be unrestricted and unDRMed even if i have to watch 5 minutes of ads, i realy dont care.

this will create big revenew from publicity and will atract lots of companies for the publicity and to distibute the music

but, i bet RIAA will want to put its foot into this, and scr* everything up "again"

any info on how much time i have to see ads in this system?

That's my thought. Watch (ignore) the ads once, then convert it to somthing unrestricted. And since you downloaded the song from an "approved" site, it would be hard to take you to court over it.

and continue along such lines, redistribute over new P2P, teach the RIAA that all we are going to do is steal it anyways, and make sure they stop trying to find a middle ground at all.

EMI is a BIG label. Would be a shame to see that happen widespread when you have an option that doesn't even require a dime of your money.

even 1 set of ads would probably pay the cost of the music (not shop prices, but actual reasonable prices), also if its PTP then were sharing the music with others, lowering their server costs

This is useless for all practical purposes beyond "try before you buy" - which I guess is what they're aiming for. But if I can't integrate a track into my normal music collection and put it on my portable player then I really can't be bothered to sit and watch inane adverts.
