Tad crowded, methinks. Meh, if it's better than nVidia's solution I'll go for it.

Question:

Since it has 1 pcie x16 on northbridge and one on the southbridge, is the link between NB and SB still only 2 PCIe lanes? So there's a bandwidth gap of x14? Surely it's slower to negotiate between two chips as well.

is the link between the 2 chips a 2x PCI-E lane ?, i would have thought thats a crippling limit on it, also i do believe that there is an added latency between chips, but it will probably be like 0.1ms or somthing

the two PCI-Express x16 slots on RD580/600 are both in the north bridge. It is NVIDIA's solution that has them split between the north and south bridges. However, NVIDIA's two chips are connected with a bi-directional 1000MHz HyperTransport bus meaning that there is no perf loss.

Yea I read it wrongly, or, completely missed the "Xpress route" line.
