God knows we have enough violence in games, why not sex? Ad the lingere mods for Lara Croft tell me there is a market. Be interesting to see if they can implement it in an engaging way though.

Kind of thinking along randomly here, but...

I'm thinking about HL2, because that' what I'm playing when I have time these days. The story line leads naturally to violence, kill the combine, kill the zombies, etc. Despite the obvious potential for romantic tension between Gordon and Alyx, I just don't see how it could be integrated into a FPS type game. My gut feeling is that this is sort of the holy grail of gaming, but hard to make work in practice.

I has another tyhought as I was sitting here typing this. No one but me mentioned violence in video games, I just somehow automatically associated it. How American of me

Theres already a huge sex games market, hardly any games are produced in the main western developer centres (like the US or the UK) but in japan there are a ton of sex games.

I suppose the american adult industry just wants to cash in with it's franchises. I bet you alot of people (who want to buy an adult game) would buy a game just because it has Vivid slaped on the front over a random adult game.

But then again I don't really see the problem, if we've got games based around violence like GTA, which is basically maul as many people as possible (not that I'm against it

), I'd think a sex game would actually be a cleaner alternative. I mean, you can't really give teenagers any more ideas than they've already got in that department can you? Whats wrong with the completely natural act of sex? Oh yeah, it's not condoned by the bible, but violence is (holy wars anyone?).

Veles is right, to anime/ Japanese culture fans adult video games are not new, its a very healthy and professional industry in Japan, though unfortunately not many get translated to english. in fact why even try to start adult games from scratch?, just get more people translating and promoting the japanese stuff. (don't know why I said this tho, cause i dont really like that kinda thing. no really, i swear)

Sex Tetris was always a classic!

Only thing that is disturbing is the fact of the MMO's, more people lying about themselves etc.

Fair enough it doesn't do too much harm, but it is still disturbingly funny

Sex in games is a good thing or is effective to the story but not if it is the story, liesure suit larry and deadly sins are primarily based around sex and girls and those where crap. But if sex is intergral to the story then it can be used effectively and add depth and realism to the storyline...
For example in the Sims 1/2, GTA SA to some degree and Hitman Blood Money... for example in that the mission in the porn den and the pool side party... its got a bit of tit but its not all tit for tat, the game remain good...

There is already a few big games that do have some heavy hints toward sexual content, the first one that comes to mind is mafia, another is that vampire game that i never bought.. (woman in red dress sucking peoples necks making erotic noises with her huge massive bloody tits flapping about)

What I'm saying is, that were only a few textures away from full on nudity in games.

The only Jennas i know of are Jenna Jameson and Jenna Haze - and that girl doesnt look like either! lol

Bloodrayne, it was ok, but the tits were good, if you need a look just google it, dont buy the game... google is cheaper and faster LoL

Games are getting more "lude" so why the hell not, skip the middle man ESRB rating thing and bring on the big guns

But really, how to make an interesting game around sex, that's gotta be a challenge

Sex in games would be good IMO.

The only way I can really see it working though is in MMO or Sim like games.
Like the Sims where the object is to get laid as much as possible and improve your technique or something...

Might even help us guys find the clit a bit easier on the real thing...

How often have you played WoW and see people running around in their underwear?
How about modding it so you can go naked and have gang-bangs etc?
Get into a group to kill the uber-hard monster who drops the 'Super-deluxe Rampant Rabbit of coming' or something?

lol, ok, maybe not.

I can't really see it as being anything more than a sideline in games.
I'll stick to surfing one-handed for 20 mins then getting back in to CSS...
