Paradigm Shifter will become famous soon enough
I'll agree with the odd positioning of the molex connector for a normal ATX case... (it'd be OK in an Antec P180, barring the 4-pin connector location) but will the audio card require dedicated power?

Only PCI slot, though?

Now that looks like one pretty motherboard...I hope your taking note ASUS.

I dont understand one thing though! This board is obviously aimed at enthusiasts, who will be looking to run it in Crossfire mode. Why would they create a crossfire board that prevents use of the one and only PCI slot.....thats just madness The majority of enthusiasts will not accept onboard audio especially on a highly clockable board!

Lets hope they sorted the bios out too...always great overclockers but a pain in the butt to do.

Abit, continuing tradition of making FETs hard as hell to watercool.

Not to mention having a floppy connector and two SATA ports in awful locations.

Abit always put 2 SATA ports in awkward places, but the one at the top is just totally retarded. Nobody uses a floppy though, unless you're installing XP from it then it's a 30 second job.

The fets just need a square waterblock, like for a northbridge, unless you want the ones across the top as well.

The main thing that pisses me off about ABIT, sorry, abit boards is their use of uGuru which has NO support in speedfan and their AudioMAX boards never have RCA SPDIF, only optical

One PCI doesnt sell it to me either.

Yer this motherboard, all though "overclocker friendly" is not friendly for hardware e.g. the single, YES 1 PCI slot, not to mention the difficulty your going to have fitting the SATa leads and the water cooling kit, as you most likely will becuase of the "overclocker" aspect of this board. It may be enabled for core duo and DDR2 but with all the other faults and design flaws this thing has its only a 65% from me, the eight SATA 3Gs are good mind you... even if they are in wierd locations...

Do I see once again a mobo in which a long VGA-card blocks the memory slot-locks? ffs we've seen this problem for like 8 years and it still appears..

EDIT: and oh, about the PCI. I have had no use for such after getting my current mobo. If there's adequate sound card on board, then what could you possibly need? SCSI-card maybe?

I own a AN8-SLI atm, it seems like they just keep dropping PCI slots all the time. I agree with other people that most people who have 2 video cards will not settle for onboard audio. Ive tried the onboard audio on my board, but my x-fi card sounds far far better in any application.
