This whole anti-net neutrality thing is such bull****. Customers pay for their lines, businesses pay for their lines, why on earth should businesses(and through them the customers) be expected to pay again? This is simply a case of greedy telecomms companies trying to cash in on companies cash reserves. Speechs like the one from Ted Stevens recently which show how incredibly ignorant the US senators and congressmen can about the whole thing, show that this is simply a case of telecomms companies using lobbying to pass laws enabling them to extort money out of big companies.

For those who are wondering what spec is talking about should read this transcript of Sen. Stevens' awe-inspiring (for all the wrong reasons) and totally uninformed speech.

For those who can't be bothered to read, this is one of the key points of his speech:

And this guy was voted in to supposedly to represent the residents of Alaska (granted, that's not many people, but even so...)? Man, this guy makes George W sound like Einstein!

Yeah, just listen to the recording on the latest episode of TWiT... it's outright disturbing.

Go go Google.

Have you got a thought on net neutrality? Drop it in our forums while you still can... we're not much into paying your ISP for the privilege.
Ironically, when I clicked the thread link it said "Could not connect to forums.bit-tech.net"

Horray for Google. They are single handedly saving the wired world by fighting bullsh** stuff like this. The greed of companies is sickening.

Once again, go Google!

OTOH, I think it's a bit disturbing that there are so few companies willing to do somthing like this that we think of Google as unique.

Go go Google power!

Why can't there be more companies out there with ethics like this who are willing to go on the record and get elected representatives to make laws that are actually for the benefit of thier constituants and not just to line their corporate pockets?

Google - best thing for the internet IMHO.
