Not going to get one! Probally when DX 10 chips hit the market the R580s will go down alot in price and I might consider. We might mot even see the benifet of GDDR 4 just yet and Imagain it will be expensive as hell.

i figure being so close to the dx10 launch it is pointless to upgrade right now. When the two big boys start making dx10 hdcp cards then i will upgrade, untill then i will just hold on to my cash.

Yep, another sitter and waiter for DX10 cards here. 7900GTX should carry me through 'til then.

Maybe I'm missing something here (as I'm not into gaming...), but the article listed the price of the $449 per card -- isn't that pretty in-line with all the high-end video cards now? Doesn't seem like there's much extra cost for the GDDR4 to me?

How is a year considered "so close to DX10 launch", someone whos already been struggling with their 9600 for years, and who wants a new high end system, is going to buy one of these and be real happy.
