Wow. That's such a neat little mod. I don't think their is much practicality for it, but the fact that he did it and it works is tight. I like the colors and the wire management on the outside is neat. Colors go well too.

It is a cool little mod, as you've all said a bit useless, but could be cool for on the fly cusomisation of your mouse. Image relaates to game, dunno but still pretty cool and well done.

Very well done, but a bit pointless tbh...
I think this is one of those "because I can" mods.

Like I point out in my article, the mod can be related to such creation as fan-inside-a-mouse that I modded few years back. Technology demo like Doom games seems to be. While the screen itself doesn't have that much value on showing live data when you are using the mouse, it should not be labeled as useless.

Many of us have a background image or theme installed inside a mobile phone. Why? You can't see the theme when the phone is just sitting on your desk and your head blocks the image when you are talking to it. Still people think that it is funny to place an image there.

I didn't intend this mod to be that much a functional one, just something classy looking and bit different from what we have done in the past. One might think of this as a "live skin" to a product...

i can see its a neat idea, but the screen is so small you cant display anything that useful

also, when your using the mouse your hand will cover the screen, so in all it seems pretty useless to me, modding for the sake of modding

Hehe...I thought it was quite creative, Japala. I hope you don't mind my write-up on it, I personally am a fan of modding for the sake of having an inspired idea!

I'm still waiting for that keyboard...what ever happened to that thing? Woulda cost an arm and a leg (maybe I could trade for some other part that I don't need for typing) but it was an awesome concept.

Cool little mod, might be fun as a tiny little samurize-esque thing. Probably not big enough for much more than a Now Playing or a little CPU and RAM histogram, but it would be nice for not having to wake up your main display to check an odd stat.

A little usless but something new and well done (I'd give it a 9/10 for build quality). That's where your palm goes so its just a little eye candy for when your away from your pc I guess. Oh well I enjoyed the read.

Personally I think its seriously funky. Not something that I would use or personally have use for I dont think but, its fun to look at a nice to know that phone screens can be used outside of phones. I'm sure it will quite probably inspire some other mods using phone screens in the future

I have to say I think it's quite cool, you can fit a surprising amount of information on a mobile phone screen, and if like me you spend a lot of time at your keyboard and use shortcuts rather than the mouse (I only really use the mouse to move windows around), then a little screen displaying information would be cool.

I might not mod a mouse, but it's inspired me to get an old mobile phone screen and make a little housing for it.

Pretty cool, but pointless. Most would rather have a paintjob instead.

hmm, 3 screens on a g15 - interesting

I like it and think it actually could be useful.
I often leave my computer for a while and want a screen to show whether I've received any emails. I don't want to have to interrupt the screensaver (esp if the PC is busy with some grid computing for example).

then and again, the G15 does that, and that LCD can actually be seen while using your PC
