Why Youtube? God I hate that place, not only is it full of crap(of course not an issue here), but the damn things start and stop 30 times in a video of a few minutes. YouTube provide a terrible streaming experience to me, shame so many people seem to think they're decent.

edit: Urgh, forget it, by 13 seconds I'd have 5 stops. I can watch BBC news fine, so I doubt it's the connection(given the awful quality of youtubes videos). If anyone finds a mirror, shout.

Well it works for most of us fine, something's not right for you tbh... In fact, YouTube's the fastest site I've ever been to to load a video up.

As for the games, Portal's looking awesome, TF2's looking wank, and I daren't even look at Episode 2 yet...

Portal looks totally kick ass. TF2, Im still skeptical about.
If you have having issues is it down to the buffering from the site? Try pausing the video after you press play, wait 15 seconds or so then smack play again. Usually solves buffer issues when im downloading and trying to watch like just then

Portal looks intriguing but I just know it's gonna drive me round the bend so many times... TF2 just looks plain fun

I really don't understand why bit-tech is so against TF2.
It looks like so much fun.

Portal looks pretty interesting

However TF2 looks really awful, and the rocket jumping is still present, and will still be lame

The quality of the videos is also diabolical too, and the sound sounds rubbish, worse then listening to an ipod

Portal and TF2 looked great to me. Not really interested in Episode 2.

Well that would depend on what you put on your i-pod, wouldn't it dumbass?

How can you moan about the video quality - they're short trailers intended for streaming, you'd be whinging if they were HD videos at about 200MB each, wouldn't you?

As if i would have an ipod, hmm i can buy an ipod that doesn't sound good, or spend 1/2 as much on a creative one that actually has good sound quality, tough choice

All my audio rips are uberstandard anyway ( Google )

that's taking it from 1 extreme to another now isn't it

Shame that valve didn't have any of this stuff on their video section

Yahoo, this is off topic, but most audio magazines rate the Ipod as the best sound quality portable audio player out there. I'm inclined to believe them over fanboys and Ipod haters I'm afraid, and I'm no fan of Ipods myself.

Why yes, spec, thanks for noticing exactly how off-topic it is. This would be about the third thread just in my crappy-ass memory (my brain could best be described as 'swiss cheese,' for the record), if it were to continue, that yahooadam's moaning about ipods would completely hijack.

So, since NONE of us want that (riiiight?), let's move on back to topic. (Note: THIS IS A HINT)
Thanks

Anyhow. I am not so sure what the rest of the BT staff have against TF2...I personally think it looks like a lot of fun. Not to mention, I think they did a great job designing those 'Incredibles' lookalikes, as Wil likes to call them. Not everything has to be incredibly real to look good and fun.

Portal, well...that's going to hurt my head, and I can see lots of fun times with it.

TF2 looks a lot better in practice than I thought it would. However, the cartoon flames/flashes coming out the end of the heavy gunner's min gun look really stupid. And they should have kept the red dot for the sniper. The little mini bat for the scout is just plain funny, and the cloak ability for the spy looks pretty cool.

And Episode 2....

Both TF2 and Potal look like a lot of fun, Portal looks like it might be a patience tester at times though
