Well did they actually say that it was due out for christmas? Or was it just the media predicting it would be?

I would rather the developers hold back than rush out another game thats ruined by the bugs. The developers obviously feel they need more time to make the game better.

Better delayed then released unfinished. *coughbf2142cough*

Kudos to the Crytek guys for not rushing things.

Someone made an error in the news post, they stated that Croteam was developing Crysis while in fact it is Crytek.

Thats OK since Vista will probably be running SP1.4 by then giving a more stable experience. DX10 cards will be in abundance too.

My first reaction was along the lines of... "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Then I realised that this gives me more time to prepare for the game... perhaps if it's out in April 2007, the DX10 hardware will have settled a bit.

It is a shame. However I think it's for the best. I would rather it be released finished! As we'll have the first Service Pack 1 for MS Windows Vista it'll be more stable and DirectX10 GPU prices would have dropped with new graphics cards emerging.

I say is a conspiracy to help save ATI, as gamers will hold out untill the R600 comes out before upgrading to DX10... And since Crysis is the most anticipated DX10 game it makes sense to delay so there is not a mad rush of ppl buying nvidia cards...

ATI paid em off!! :P

Bah, I can wait. I need to upgrade anyway. This will just give me time to do so, while Half-Life 2 Episode 2 gives me large scale fighty goodness to tide me over.
