Whilst the winner is absoloutely incredible, I'm not quite sure it deserves to win. It isn't a mod, rather a custom built (from scratch) case. It's not really fair to compare it with other modifications.

Don't know if I'm alone on this one

Well deserved win for Dark Blade, got to appreciate Gianluca fpr his creative
genius on this project. Even for those without access to CNC it still throws
the guantlet down for all of us that strieve for better. Great work Giamluca
and hats off to the voters in saying so.

I think you'll find most people consider a scratch build even more impressive than a mod - but I see where you're coming from, though disagree.

Impressive win for the DarkBlade case. So glad that after all that work he finally gets recognized for the job. Though the runners up put on a great show as well. If there could be 3 winners those would be it.

The top 3 were all scratch builds but we've already discussed this topic in the contest discussion thread.
