Interesting piece of kit though. I could also imagine that it would be good for a work station user for photo editing and the such like too.

Video editing is the main place you want multiple displays - then you can have more of the timeline in view at once, avoiding the dreaded scroll.

I'd get one and pick up another monitor, but I'm not sure the system exists which can run Far Cry at 5760x1200!

Man.
I'd get two.
And six projectors.

Home Imax maybe?

So, any Idea what kind of resolutions this will do? Is it dual-link?

I imagine it would have to be, since AFAIK the max resolution single link supports is 1920x1080, just over 2 million pixels.
Even 3 1024x768 screens would be too much for this, at 2.35 million pixels.
If i'm assuming correctly and dual link DVI supports around 4 million pixels, it looks like 1280x1024 monitors may be the max for this product, since 3 of these come to 3.93 megapixels.

Nope - the article (at least in the link) says 3 x 1280x1024. Which is a shame. I was hoping for something that might stress a pair of 8800GTX's. Not that I have a pair (erm) but I could... if I sell the missus into slavery.

surly if you had a pair of 8800s you would have 4 DVI outs anyway?

I was seriously considering the vga version until I did the math - for the price of this plus two more 19" LCDs I could get a 24" LCD which would be better for watching movies etc (or I could get two 22" LCDs). If the price was about half I'd buy one in a heartbeat but...

Also, forget this if you're running ATI cards: http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/gx...lity.php#table

Edit: Matrox's info page: http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/gx...gital/home.php

SLI mode only allows you to use 1 output. Thats where TH2G comes in, 3 monitors with SLI enabled! (hopefully, i don't know if the nvidia drivers can handle 3840x1024 in SLI mode.)

It's useless for anything other then games, since you can just get two cheap video cards and you've already got 4 outputs, and for a shiteload less $$
