iPhoto
Okay so I have a problem in iPhoto,
The dates are off on my film-roll in the photo library and I dont know how to edit them to the right date. I think it takes the date from when the picture was taken but apparently the cameras date was off because i have some pictures from 12/3/00 that were taken in like 12/20/05. Also I would like to name some of the film rolls instead of having 5/14/05, 14 I would like it to say like 5/14/05 Cosumel Trip or something. Also I saw on a newer macbook that a friend had that he can view his pictures in a filmstrip view (like Windows has) and I didnt know if I could get this or if it was only an option on newer versions of iPhoto. I have a powerbook G4 with iPhoto v. 4.0.3 (4H2) So what do I need to do to fix that problem and what do i need to do to get that option? Thanks guys! |

I had this problem a couple of years ago and used jhead http://www.sentex.net/~mwandel/jhead/ and a script to change the EXIF data to the correct dates etc. it depends on how many you have to correct.
In iPhoto 6 you can rename film rolls and it also has thumbnail view, it could be that iPhoto 4 does not support those features. HTH |

There certainly is a film-strip option with iPhoto 5, and I'm fairly sure you can edit the roll details, so perhaps it's something to do with the older version.
