Heh it does look interesting.
I have been longing for another mmo wher you can build your own player housing, and this game would be nothing without that feature so I can only asume player housing is included and will be as customisable as any real world lego construction.

I've never really been into MMOs, mainly because there aren't any that interest me (olde worlde fantasy stuff is just too nerdy for my liking), or the interesting ones have turned out to be rubbish (Star Wars Galaxies, Matrix Online etc).

LEGO, on the other hand could be quite interesting - providing they don't screw it up!

What do you reckon of the new Lego games? Could this MMO be the WoW killer, if there even is such a thing, or will it just fall into obscurity?
I vote for obscurity ... but, hey, there's always hope and it certainly has a theoretical potential ...

I'll second a comment that someone made in a similar thread a while back. Does it have to be a WoW killer? Isn't it possible that the two games could coexist? It doesn't look like they're the same genre, so I think it's entirely possible that a Lego MMO would do just fine.

I've tried WoW, and I didn't think it was as special as people make it out to be. Honestly, I'm growing tired of every game being compared to WoW.

well, WoW is the most popular MMO out there (I think).. so it's inevitable that other MMO's get compared to it

This looks interesting as it's not just another fantasy-based MMO

WoW never wow'd me so I'm looking forward to this. I think it's a very interesting concept for an MMO.

I just hope they include enough bendy bits. When I played lego all those years ago, I always ran out of bendy bits!

I'm wondering how much of the player created content will go into production as actual Lego kits. I'm thinking this is a great way to research what blocks and sets of blocks get used the most and to see what people actually want to build.

Wow, i didn't even think about the statistics possibilities for the actual company... this project if done right, could be easily used for market research, and done right, could possibly double their revenue.

he, being a dane and having grown up with Lego, it's just amazing to see how far present day lego is from the bricks I had when I was a kid. And I even had some of that fancy techno stuff (not the music I now listen to, the kits with more functionality). I don't think i will play the game but I hope it becomes a success if for no other reason than the fact that Lego needs a boost.

OMG I can't wait to try it out, I'm not into MMO's at all but I'll be giving it a go just 'cause it's Lego

OR have they made a deal with Blizzard to encourage (lure) youngsters into MMO's?
Being danish myself, i just hope this works out for them, i still have my assorted LEGO hidden under my bed. And i want my kids to be able to play with LEGO when i have them.
Btw. Dr. Strangelove. It's called LEGO Technic. Not Techno. Alltho that is my music taste too.
