That sounds like the space MMO to end all space MMO's tbh, depends how well they do it. Also, binary star systems aren't that frequent, I'm sure they'll pimp the density up.

Same here. Been following infinity for awhile. It's just amazing that one guy is doing all the programming.
Did anyone play the ICP beta awhile back? |

Looks cool, but I doubt it'll pull my interests away from WoW.

This game sounds like it could be very awesome, or very lonely and slow. Or it could be vapour ware, it just sounds too good to be true. |

I have been following it for years and it's very not vaporware look at the dev pages. the guy developing it very much knows his stuff. As it's developed by one person progress is slow and realease of anything near a final game is many years away. What has been done so far and demonstrated is far beyond any space sim:
procedural generation of entire planets Seamless from high orbit to grass level transition Actual moving planetry systems Procedural nebula and star systems all moving and fully to scale with realistic orbits very advanced shadowing and lighting (although not fully realistic as seeing things in space is mkind of usefull!) actual physics... momentum and such like anyway if your still not convinced there is a combat prototype with a planet and some ships although t he game has come on a long way since then

Yeah but that's kind of my point, it sounds so good but it's only being developed by some guy, it might come out, but it could be so far in the future it's practically vaporware. I'd love to play it though, it sounds awesome.
