Latvala leading Rally Sweden

He finally does it and secures a 48.0 second lead so far (after SS7). About time after all those stage wins on rallies last year.
Oh yeah, Loeb crashed out
So, right now, it's a Ford 1-2-3-4, lead by Latvala, in second is Mikko Hirvonen, third is Henning Solberg, and fourth is Gigi Galli.
Quite a nice start for M-Sport

Subaru is doing alright, but off the pace quite a bit

I'll continue to update as I get more info.

Shame the TV coverage is so poor in the UK.

^ The US doesn't have ANY rally coverage. Of course we know why. NASCAR

Latvala is up 48.2 seconds after SS8.

You can find short videos on www.wrc.com for your viewing pleasure.

At least it's on Dave at a sensible time now, completely lost touch with it since it left the BBC years ago.

Latvala is closing in on his first win

About TV coverage, we used to get the nice hour long highlight package on SpeedTV, but when the contract came up, Speed didn't renew it

The Ford Focus is definitely the car to have if you're a privateer runner. It's very fast in almost any driver's hands

Loeb retired again, this time with engine issues.
Interestingly, Sordo also was plagued with engine issues in Monte Carlo which lead Citroen to do an engine change prior to Sweden.
Seems the Citroens aren't as bulletproof as many thought.

I'd love to see Suzuki and Subaru up there fighting for wins with Ford and Citroen. Just imagine how great that'd be, 4 manufacturers fighting for wins

I watched the Rally for about 18 months then gave up again, just dont have the time anymore. Good to hear Latvalia doing well, or, at least someone else other than Loeb to mix things up a bit.
