DVD slows then stops
Any idea why my Samsung SH-S183A sometimes slows down while copying files from DVD's and then seems to stop or might just be going really really slow. The light apears to be flashing on the front of the drive and it is spining inside. But it apears to be taking forever!

I agree. Try one of those cheap CD/DVD cleaning thingummyjigs©, to see if it helps?
Your only other option, is to beg/borrow another drive - be it a replacement internal drive, or an external drive. If you still experience the same problems, then it's obviously something else to do with your system, rather than the drive.
