Just to clarify things - You need a TV licence if you INSTALL or OPERATE equipement CAPABLE of receiving or reproducing TV signals. That would include a VCR playing back through a PC!

In other words if you want to watch TV programs, (even taped ones), you need a licence.

I only pay license since it is a requirement in my tenancy agreement... don't want to loose the apartment for such a thing.

And about the г1000 fine, it sais _up to_ г1000 fine, not that it is that amount. Most of the time they simply make sure that you start paying the license after you have been discovered, if not, you will get a fine. And what you can do then is a month or two later phone them and say the TV is broken/dead and that you can't afford to get a new one and have no need for the license anymore... Been there, done that as you can guess.

But ofcourse, I don't want you to break the law.

Breaking the law is cool.

I'm not gonna pay г110 a year for a TV lisence ever man... just think of all the nice things you could buy for г110...

I'd rather watch TV and not pay for it and give money to charity or somthing.

Besides it's like principle, they say "oh we will fine you a г1000 beware coward, we have m@D Ski||Z and L33t H@X0r type technology to catch you"

I don't want to be bullyed into doing anything
