Ah nice to see this got a good response!

I hate any company who once delivered, but now suck bigtime. I really have high hopes for Interplay's rebirth.

Sad to hear about Lucasarts however. They've been blinded by starwars though. I'm seriously surprised we never got a Starwars point n click adventure. It seems like that would've been a pretty good idea.

While we're at it...

What happened to Outcast 2?

The first one was brilliant - just brilliant! I have no idea how many hours I spent exploring the exotic world (whose name I have now forgotten) and helping out those poor riss farmers. Hm. I still have my original discs; maybe I should dig them out and have another go at the game.

Update: Apparently the developers went bust, and their plea for funding to complete the project fell on deaf ears. But, as it turns out there is hope for those of us who miss Outcast yet. There is a Crysis conversion in the works at http://www.openoutcast.org/index_eng.html.
