The heat thing, with aluminum cranks, can completely bugger the hole.
I found that the freezing up was caused by galling on my Trek, and I'm slowly breaking down the rust to clean the area before attempting disassembly (the bike is ALL ORIGINAL) of anything. Granted, I CAN'T get new parts, so I have to be careful with what I have. |
