24" Monitor LabTest
I'm a subscriber to CPC, and have just received the new mag with the monitor labtest.
This is great as I am wanting to upgrade my monitor to something a bit better. My query is that the NEC 24WMGX3 seems to be rated as a better monitor, but too expensive at £572, while the HP LP2475W is £423 but has more "bang for buck". I have found the NEC at £410 on overclockers and wondering, is it the best buy now its cheaper? |

£410 is a great price for the NEC 24WMGX3. Still its hard to decide between it and the HP LP2475w. i.e. the HP looks better in games and movies, but the NEC looks better in desktop apps and had no measurable input lag.
In the end I suppose it comes down to what you're going to use the monitor for, and whether you personally are sensitive to input lag (it varies from person to person and from game to game). |

I'm mainly a gamer, but it's primarily CSS which according to the review is input lag sensitive. I have no idea if I am personally "sensitive" to input lag as I've only used the monitor i currently have (Samsung SM2032BW).

check out some local places too, i dunno if you have media markt in the uk (presume thats where your from) but i got a fujitsu siemens 26" for 250 quid, i was a bit worried as ive always had samsung or lg before but it ok and does the job
it sometimes pays to go round and have a look at what on offer in the actual shop cause i know myself that i always presume online is cheaper

Does anybody know where the NEC 24WMGX3 can now be bought at £410? OcUK had it at this prise, but it seems they no-longer have any stock. Interestingly, it's not listed as out of stock - because it's simply no-longer listed on their site at all - it's just vanished, gone.
CPC listed Amazon as the supplier in their review, but Amazon are no-longer stocking it either. Although there's currently just one available through the Amazon Market Place for £639 plus £11 p&p, making it a a staggering £650. Compare that to the £410 from OcUK just a month ago. So what has happened to the NEC 24WMGX3, and why is nobody selling it anymore? AllanRoy. |

Great work on the reviews you did for the monitors. Is there any chance you can do one for monitors up to £200? Would be nice to read and would help me out. Im sure others would like it aswell.

Last week i bought one. And i should tell you it's not as expensive as you thought. Now the technical is very mature, so the price is going down.
