...or buy it...as I have just done. God dammit Joe.

Well, at least I'll finally be able to play it now (and maybe be old enough to appreciate it).

Played through the whole game at least 5 times, and it's a big game.

Easily up there with SS2.

guttting news, a spector DE3 would have been great.

should that be

What a shame Spector didn't get a chance to make DE3, it leads one to wonder that perhaps Eidos intend to milk the franchise for all it's worth themselves, which would hardly be good.

Still, a version 'with the serial numbers filed off' would still be fine - it's the game after all which is important, even if it wasn't 'officially' Deus Ex

I've been thinking similar thoughts lately. Feature on the issue planned.

excellent i'll look forward to that, i think you in particular joe have an idea of the "golden age of gaming" (DE, thief, monkey island) would be good to see why (bit-tech think) so much value is placed in these titles and why we haven't seen anything as seminal in years

You know, there is a silver lining to all this.

Even though Epic Mickey doesn't appeal to a lot of us here (and even fewer of us will probably buy it), I'm hoping that it's a big success both critically and financially which will give Warren the investors required to make the game we all want him to make.

I've already got it installed for another play through, but I've been holding off until the modders finish the HD packs that have been in development for what feels like forever. I might just have to play through regardless otherwise I'll be collecting my pension by the time they do finish it.

mentioning that DOES make me want to play deus ex again. I got it free with my purchase of a soundblaster pro 32x gamer back in the day. Good soundcard and a very excellent game, although I remember trying to play it again and the camera bob gave me a headache and the game mechanics felt a bit dated.

I still have high hopes for DX 3, but won't know until a demo and such is out.

Also I don't think the golden age of gaming is necessarily over. Games Like l4d, Halo franchise, WoW, sims franchise. Have been very solid performers and have a ton of replayability. Some stories do have special places in our hearts and an extreme amount of polish but I don't think games are all crap today.

Also have you ever found that nostalgia makes everything in the past seem golden, I remember play NBA Jam for hours as a kid, I went back and tried it and wow the computer cheats from the second you pick up the controller and it cheats hard. What a frustrating game
