Laptop in computer case

Not sure if it has the right prefix but hey. A friend of mine wants to put his laptop into a desktop case, just wondering how difficult this would be and if there would be anything we would need to know.

Besides creating all the mountingpoints yourselfs, you would need to use an external powerbrick (regular psus dont work on laptops) then there´s the issues of fitting all the connectors, so you would need to create a completly custom case aswell : /

Do you mean putting the laptop's gut in the Desktop case, or make some sort of slot for the laptop to slide into?

I don't think it would be too hard either way.
Maybe I'm not thinking the right way.
I dunno.

@barracuda_00 - thanks, sounds pretty complicated, think I might need to tell my friend to reconsider.
@skreenname - ye the guts of the laptop.

I think it's really way too much work to do and unless it is for some specific reason... it seems to be pointless
