Roskildeanlæg, 2011

This should have been a project log, but with the lack of pictures I have - it's not gonna be one.

Therefore I simply bring you the finished result:

Edit: All credit for the plans go to Saturnus from DIYaudio forum. He is one great guy.

Why didn't you just build this into a golf club bag? Then you would have had a handy pocket to anti-theft your (insert name of device plugged into big white thing.)

At the very least, I demand that you find some plaid or tartan cloth to cover the box with.

I'd also put mesh over the ports, otherwise you will get God-knows-what living inside.

It's not mounted to the golf cart, I can easily take it off, so it lives in my room. Shouldn't be an issue with creepy crawlers - otherwise they'll be scared off when I fire it up

I really don't think the acoustic properties of a golf bag are that great ...

You probably have. All rights regarding the actual design goes to a guy named Saturnus from the DIYaudio forums. That guy is portable-speaker-God. I copied his design - should have put credits in the first post, will do that now.

Around 4500 DKK give or take. Thats 500£ or in the region of 900 $. Actually building it took 2 days with a fully stocked workshop, but I've been researching it since the beginning of February.

No and that's part of the build. If it looked like a million dollars it would probably get nicked in no time. This way, it's a bit more subtle ..

On the inside are 4x HP-10W sub-midrange speakers, 2 7Ah, 12 volt SLA battery's, a small 2x20 watt amp and 4 piezos. Oh, and wiring ofcourse.

The two panels on the top are solar panels producing a combined 10 watt in sunny weather, which enables the amp to run indefenitly since it only consumes 5 watt at max volume.

loving this speaker, nothing wrong with the outside looks of it, as it's going to be used outdoors then it would probably get knocked around alot anyways.

Have you got a link to the design? would like to look into this myself.

I have alot of field gatherings with mates and use the audio in my car (uprated speakers, 2 x subs), but because I got my car with me I can't drink

how loud is this setup?

Very loud. Played perfectly fine at my latest party with 50 people.

The design is from this post: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/class...y-machine.html

Just start from the beginning and read your way through. Remember to take notes and stuff underway.
