Which tablet given specific requirements
At work we are looking to put up a large 1080p TV screen which we will use to show information about our current projects. It is required that the files intended for viewing can be changed remotely via a computer (using wifi) and files could be stored on a server if need be. There was also talk of interactivity with the screen so that it can be manipulated to show specific media or perhaps to view a calendar, though no feasible method of interaction was suggested.
My idea is to purchase a tablet to hang on the wall next to the screen that can store presentations and videos required for showing on the screen. This can be interacted via its touch screen, connected to via wifi for updating and can output video signal to a TV. My question is, what tablet would be best for this purpose? Having not quite got into the tablet world yet myself I have no real knowledge of how feasible my ideas are, and which tablet bets suits my needs. Any ideas? Ignore the budget. Thanks!

Most likely you would be looking at an Android tablet with HDMI output.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer has these and is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip so can handle 1080p video. To get the Tablet to do what you want efficiently you would most likely have to design an app for your specific requirements. Android apps are written in Java. An alternative would be a Windows 7 tablet if you can find one with HDMI output.

Don't even need to go that far - provided you're getting a half-decent TV, it will be DLNA certified. Simply find any old DLNA certified tablet that can display slideshows, photos, video or whatever it is you want, and it will stream it wirelessly to the TV in 1080p goodness.
