Good service

I thought I'd buck the trend and post something positive about Scan AND DPD.

In the last four or five months I've bought a 27" Iiyama, an MSI twin frozr card and recently due to the (baffling) price drop of the 8gb of Corsair XM3 I've bought more of that too! Also an external drive as I lost all my photography when my backup drive died (ARGH! IRONY!) so I've now got 4 backups

Every single experience was perfectly fine. Order stated in stock and was. DPD emailed to advise (or rather Scan did to let me know) or their delivery time.

Even this week, I managed to input my security code from my card, incorrectly so had to phone Scan to check. Everything done in seconds, with a pleasant chap, over the phone. Item was delivered yet again in perfect condition.

In 9 years (approx) of using Scan, I've only ever once had a problem with a Golden sample card being fried on receipt, which took FIVE months to sort out. That was well over 8 years ago, and a series of events managed to go wrong at the same time, but a total one off.

I will always use Scan over any company, with the exception of the refurb SSD I just bought direct from Crucial, saving me well over £100!

I doubt Scan will want them, but the orders in question are (newest to oldest. Oldest being Feb):

00E1715877
00E1702121
00E1680518
00E1607421
00E1604606

So, thanks to all involved at Scan

Thank you for the great feedback...

We have been receiving lot's of great feedback recently via our query system, it's just unfortunate the trend of posting on a forum is to complain and not to praise, so really appreciate it when customer's take the time to also post here as well

Best Regards

Credit where credits due, but i dont think people complain for the sake of it either though, so "trend" perhaps is the wrong word.

The trend I was referring to, was the fact that people far too often post complaints rather than praise. Where I work we have a system to submit complaints and praise. The good we do far outweighs mistakes and problems, but we get about 1 compliment every 3 months, if that!

I just thought it'd be nice to point out the good side of things too. Public facing roles are notoriously unforgiving and thankless, and generally the pay sucks too!

Sounds like you work at my place.

Its nice to get compliments i agree, but at the end of the day my customers are expecting good products and do pay for them, so i dont really expect compliments, they are paying for a good service and product, so thats what we give them.

However i did personally send a really nice email to Crucial as it goes.

There may be a reason you only see negative posts though had you thought of that.

I agree customer's don't generally complain for the sake of it, this isn't what I was trying to say.

The general tendency is to use a forum to complain but not to use it to to praise.. It's easy to complain than to praise, this tendency is defined by the word " trend ".

Regards

Bought my entire PC apart from the U2711 (direct from Dell Uk) and Win7 OEM (cheaper on Amazon) and it was all dispatched on time with no issues.

Also bought a few fan cables etc... and once again all good!

Only had great service so far
