Dazza007 has yet to learn the way of the Dremel
SSD

Would an SSD Drive be no good in a HTPC running Windows Media Centre? meaning would watching Live TV burn the SSD out?

Good for the operating system but a HDD would be better for large storage needs such as Live TV with pause and record functions.

As blogins said, i use my "old" Intel 80GB X-25m in my media pc, makes it so responsive and you cant hear the system unless you remove the top cover and get right up close, even then you can barely hear a fan.

I only use mine for streaming losless blueray rips over the network though.

You would have to have a NAS somewhere to store stuff on though as 500gb ssds costs about £700!

I use exactly the same SSD! I store all the stuff to a 2TB NAS elsewhere.

Is that all? Bargain!! I've got a 1TB Samsung drive and I have changed the save location to the D partition on it, if I get an SSD I would use the HDD as the storage but the reason I ask is the software that came with the TV dongle didnt touch the HDD unless you asked it to but WMC seems to like talking to the drive, unsure what to do.
