Audio capture from flash video?
Hi
Apologies if this is out of line, I've come across a track that I really like but I can't seem to find anywhere to download it, or listen to it other than youtube. I'd love to get it on my Mp3 player, but the usual Youtube downloaders don't seem to work...Anyone got any ideas about how I can get the audio from this video? Apologies if this is out of line, mods feel free to close the thread down if it is unacceptable. Thanks

There's plenty of third party sites that will do this for you, just Google 'Youtube Audio Ripper'.
However, the legality of it is something of a massive grey area, so do some research, contact the poster of the video and make sure you're allowed to do this. EDIT: Ahh, didn't see you've tried. If it's not available for sale anywhere have you tried contacting the original poster?

Left a message on the artist's facebook and thats about all I can think of.
Video2Mp3.net doesn't work for me either, just get the following error - ERROR: Unable to download video info: HTTP Error 404: Not Found I think the poster (4OD) don't want people to download it and have somehow blocked it. Ah well, if there are any other ideas they'd be appreciated!

I use Audacity to do this kind of thing. It can capture the entire audio from a PC. There's a lil drop down menu on the interface, select "Master". This will capture ALL audio going through your PC - including system sounds etc. (be warned!). To export as an MP3 you will have to get the Lame MP3 encoder and tell Audacity where the DLL file is.
All the above is simple enough and searchable, so I'll leave it at that. I don't wanna be sitting on the grey areas fence for too long
