Fractal design r3 and Hydro 100

Hi all,

So i just brought a Fractal Design r3 with a Corsair H100. thinking the roof of the case with its 2 120 fans would be the perfect fit.

sadly this isnt quiet. true. The spacing on the case has a little space between where the 2 fans would go. the h100 wants the fans right next to each other.

What would you suggest. 1 sticking it on and getting 4/8 screws attached. Or go for a H60 or H80. to go in a single slot.

Thanks

S

I'd say simply stick it on and have only 4/8 of the screws attached, so long as the fan's frame is reasonably rigid; it should hold the H100 easily. It'll also give you better cooling performance than the H80 or H60 will. In theory.

You can always order a second set of screws from Corsair for a few dollars.

But whenever buying an H100 it never hurts to look at the Corsair forums first to see their lists of recommended chassis before buying something with a 240 radiator.
