I'd recommend an ASUS over a creative, creative cards are meant to have way more driver issues.
The DG is a good card. |

Don't limit yourself for the future. I use mine for gaming (5.1) Movies (7.1) Guitar Playing (ASIO + Guitar Rig) Midi and generally destroying my windows with a bit of meaty dubstep piped through my kefs. The sound quality, snr, and drivers whoop the ass of any creative soundcards i've ever used (Audigy1-4 + xfi). I'm a bit of an audiophile though, minus the cliche like for dubstep. |

Both myself and brother have always had creative cards and yes there are some awful driver issues at times. He recently went for an asus and could not be happier. Brilliant sound and no driver issues in the 3 or s months he's had it.when I upgrade I'll definitely be going asus.
