How fast is intelliSeek drive vs. 7200RPM?

I just purchaed a WD Caviar Green WDBAAY0010HNC-NRSN and am wondering how fast it will be in comparison to a straight 7200 rpm drive. Will it at least beat a six year old Hitachi that is the last old part in my new build? Thanks so much!

It won't be any faster than any other decent 7200RPM drive. In fact its green status may make it slightly slower, due to the spindle speed dropping to 5900RPM when not under heavy load.

Intelliseek is more a marketing gimmick than anything else.
