What wire
I need a bit of advice.

I have a 9.6V batter its an 8 cell batter similar to that in an RC car.

One of the wires has broken at the connector and i need to get more wire so i can make the cable coming off it longer so it wont have that issue again.

The question I have is what type of wire do I need as i know there are so many different types.

Most likely it'll be 14 gauge silicon insulated wire ( smaller the number, thicker the wire is ), maybe 12g but I doubt it if it's a nimh/nicad battery ( lipos tend to use thicker stuff as they can supply much more current ). Loads on ebay if you search for 'silicon wire'.
